That is one of the reasons we created the Petineeds Community, a Facebook community where pet parents can connect, share experiences, ask questions, learn from each other, and enjoy everything that comes with having an animal in your life.

Pet parenting can involve a surprising amount of trial and error. Even experienced pet owners run into situations they have never dealt with before.

Someone else may have already dealt with the picky eater keeping you up at night, found a toy that actually survived their dog, figured out a better aquarium routine, or learned a useful trick for keeping their rabbit entertained.

Finding pet supplies online can be overwhelming. There are thousands of products, endless reviews, and plenty of marketing telling you that everything is essential.

We want the Petineeds Community to make those decisions a little more human.

Members can talk about what they use, what their pets love, what didn’t work for them, and what they wish existed. Those conversations also help us understand what pet parents actually need as we continue building Petineeds.

We would rather learn from real pet parents than assume we already know everything they want.

Not every conversation needs to solve a problem.

We want to see the ridiculous sleeping positions. The birthday pictures. The guinea pig screaming because somebody opened the refrigerator. The cat sitting inside the box instead of using whatever expensive thing arrived in it. The dog who somehow knows exactly when you’re about to leave the house.

Pet parenting comes with stories, and sometimes you just need people who will understand why a ten-second video of your pet made your entire day.
